Cape Town - AmaZulu coach Steve Barker stressed that his side had the better chances of beating Thanda Royal Zulu.
AmaZulu played to a 0-0 score against Thanda Royal Zulu on Saturday, August 29 at King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium.
Barker told AmaZulu’s official website that although Usuthu played good football, he was disappointed that they could not convert the chances they had created.
The Usuthu mentor praised the team for being able to keep a clean sheet in their past matches and now have to work on scoring and converting their chances in the next games that follow.
“There are two thoughts here, the good and bad,” he said.
“The good is that we played good football and we took charge and dominated the majority of the game.
“I think we should have got a goal here. The negative is that we couldn’t convert those chances that we had created.
“There is a bit of work to be done in terms of breaking down teams and getting numbers behind the ball. I was happy with some individual performances.
“It is now a question of scoring and converting and taking our chances better.
“It is also good that we have managed to keep a clean sheet in both our matches,” said Barker.
