Cape Town - AmaZulu coach Steve Barker admits that he would be upset if his players did not show the kind of emotion Robyn Johannes and Mbulelo Mabizela showed after their lost to SuperSport United.

Sport24 reported that the AmaZulu captain was involved in a bust-up with Mabizela after their 3-1 defeat to United over the weekend.

Barker admits that it is normal for players to get involved in altercations after a tough loss and he says that their reaction showed that they cared about getting a better result.

"Obviously emotions are running high, and we are fighting for our lives and everybody wants to win the game and when you don't, that's disappointment," he said as quoted by KickOff.

"You are emotionally engaged and I would be upset if players weren't emotionally engaged: if they just went to the change room and sat down and accepted the defeat, I would be more worried.

"Having said that, it shows having passion and for me it is good sign. At least players are showing that they were gutted by the defeat, but we need step up and stand up and be strong on Wednesday."
