Cape Town - Lucky Baloyi’s proposed move to Bloemfontein Celtic has hit the rocks and the midfielder will no longer join the Free State-based club after Bobby Motaung and Max Tshabalala failed to agree on a deal.

According to the Sport24 source at Celtic, the deal is now off and Celtic will no longer be signing Baloyi after the two parties failed to agree on a deal.

“I can tell you that the deal to bring Baloyi to Bloemfontein is now off as Bobby and our management failed to agree in bringing the player to Celtic,” the source said.

“Celtic are disappointed as they wanted Baloyi badly, but life goes on,” he said.

The source said Celtic is still pursuing Mamelodi Sundowns on Musa Nyatama, who were supposed to be the last deals for the Bloemfontein-based team.

Celtic have been very busy in the market and have already signed the former University of Pretoria striker, Geoffrey Massa, Thabang Matuka from Maritzburg United and the duo of Vuyisile Wana and Lantshene Phalane from relegated Moroka Swallows.
