Johannesburg - Kaizer Chiefs coach, Vladimir Vermezovic, has lambasted Reneilwe "Yeye" Letsholonyane and Simphiwe Tshabalala for not putting enough effort to help the team's cause.
The Serbian-born mentor believes the duo produce sub-standard performances for the Soweto giants while reserving their best for Bafana Bafana.
"I must be honest, I expect Tshabalala and "Yeye" to be machines for my team but I was not happy about their input in the last two games," said the Chiefs mentor.
Vermezovic did not start the two internationals in an Absa Premiership encounter against Golden Arrows at Durban's World Cup venue, Moses Mabhida Stadium on Tuesday evening, opting for George Lebese and Mthokozisi Yende.
"I understand that its not easy for them to focus because of their Bafana commitments but they must remember that they got selected to Bafana for playing well at Chiefs.
"They must not think that because they are big names they can just get into the starting line-up. Soccer is not played by names," he told Football365.co.za.
The Amakhosi mentor dropped Tshabalala and Letsholonyane along with winger Abia Nale and Josta Dladla for Tuesday evening's goalless draw with Golden Arrows.
But despite the midfielders struggle to string together a series of decent passes at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, Vermezovic warned the pair that they will have to work really hard to regain their positions in the team.
"I might just continue using the youngsters again in our upcoming games," he added.
The former Partizan boss admitted that his charges were now definitely out of the PSL title race.
"I must admit that we out of the race league race now and we will be focusing on building the team for next season," he said.
He said playing youngsters like Mandla Masango, George Lebese, Mthokozisi Yende and Knowledge Musona would form a big part of his preparation plans for the 2010/2011 season.
"I was very disappointed after the Cosmos game. We were very soft. The young players are the future of Kaizer Chiefs. Fielding them now helps in preparing for next season."
Vermezovic admitted that a draw against Arrows was probably a fair result and praised stopper Arthur Bartman for his second-half showing.
"Arrows were lucky not to concede in the first half as we were piling the pressure. In the second half it was us who were lucky. We had a great goalkeeper who saved us. I must commend (Arthur) Bartman. I am happy with the point we got but it would have been better for the fans if it had been a 3-3 draw," he concluded.
