Cape Town - Vladimir Vermezovic has rued Lennox Bacela’s missed chance which could have changed the face of their Absa Premiership tie against the University of Pretoria.

According to KickOff, Vermerzovic admits that had Bacela scored with his 11th minute chance courtesy of a Daine Klate through-ball, the game and result would certainly have been different after AmaTuks held the Buccaneers to a 0-0 draw.

"You know it could have been different,” said Vermezovic.

“If we had scored that first opportunity through Lennox, because this team of Pirates is totally different after scoring.

"But at the end of the day, it is one point away. Look, some people will say a point is not enough, but it is point by point."

Following the draw Pirates move one place down to fifth position (18 points) on the PSL standings with a game in hand.

The Sea Robbers next encounter is against Maritzburg United at the FNB stadium on Tuesday, December 2.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
