Arrows confirm Bartlett job

Johannesburg - Golden Arrows have confirmed the appointment of former Bafana
Bafana striker Shaun Bartlett as their assistant coach, effective
immediately.
A statement on the Arrows website read: "Shaun Bartlett, the
former Bafana Bafana international has been appointed as Assistant Coach
for the Lamontville Golden Arrows.
"Bartlett will bring his extensive experience of the game,
spanning over 15 years of being involved in the beautiful game, to the
Golden Arrows Team.
"Bartlett started his career in 2006 in Cape Town, and has
over his career played for a number of local teams as well as
international teams such as FC Zurich and Charlton Athletic. He won the
Premier League Goal of the Season with a header against Leicester City
in the 2000/2001 season.
"He made his full international debut in a friendly
against Lesotho on April 26, 1995 and is currently the 2nd all-time
leading scorer behind Benni McCarthy for Bafana Bafana, with 28 goals in
74 appearances.
"Shaun helped his country to the 1996 African Nations Cup and played in the 1998 FIFA World Cup, scoring two goals.
"Bartlett's appointment is a welcome addition to
Lamontville Golden Arrows F.C.'s coaching team and its expected that his
technical input will enable an exciting partnership, and thus continue,
the exciting form shown this season."
