Arendse: We can do it

Cape Town - Santos will be fighting to retain their PSL status on Saturday when they visit Chippa United in the final leg of the PSL promotional playoffs at the Phillipi Stadium.

The PSL side needs all the three points on offer to survive the chop from the elite division.

Santos defender Wayne Arendse believes that despite playing to a draw in the first leg against Chippa, he is confident that they will overcome their neighbours and continue playing in the PSL.

"We have not been very bad. We have played well but in many cases have not used the chances we have created. If we can create the same number of chances and score them, then we can do it and win the game.

“We have a good side and we know Chippa will be playing at home and they are determined to win as well, but we are ready for a fight. We know a draw is good for them but we will fight for a win and as I have said, we can do it," Arendse concluded.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
