Another soccer fan arrested

Johannersburg - A second man was arrested for allegedly vandalising the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto last week, police said on Sunday.

Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said police expected more arrests soon, as they were using CCTV footage to identify those involved.

Last Sunday, soccer supporters broke a fence and vandalised the stadium when Moroka Swallows beat Mamelodi Sundowns.

Sundowns supporters tore down the stadium’s security fence and stormed the pitch.

The first arrest was made on Saturday.

The two men would appear together at Protea Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, where they would face charges of trespassing and malicious damage to property.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
