AmaZulu will fight for PSL return

Cape Town - Veteran Amazulu goalkeeper Energy Murambadoro said that it won’t be an easy season but the team has to fight and make sure they don’t become comfortable in the National First Division.

The Durban-based team previously played in the PSL before being relegated in the 2014/15 season and found themselves back in the NFD.

“It will not be easy at all, but we have to fight and make sure that we don’t become comfortable there (in the NFD),” he told the AmaZulu website.

Murambadoro said that he remained dedicated to the team and made a commitment to bring Usuthu back into the PSL despite the challenges they will face as a club.

“When I arrived at the club my mandate was to help the club from relegation, so when that did not happen I made a commitment that I will stay and contribute in bring the team back to the PSL.

“There are other goalkeepers who have joined us and it is good to always have some competition. It is going to be a challenging season, but we are prepared to work.”

AmaZulu last played Maritzburg United and succumbed to a 2-1 score back in May.
