AmaZulu to buy PSL status?

Cape Town - AmaZulu are reportedly set to buy the Absa Premiership status of Mpumalanga Black Aces, which would seemingly cost a cool R45 million.

Usuthu were relegated to the National First Division in May after finishing rock bottom of the top-flight standings.

The Durban club have since been desperate to retain their place in South Africa's premier division, and even alleged match-fixing during the campaign in a bid to have their spot restored.

Those claims never materialised, though, seemingly resigning the club to the NFD, but AmaZulu may have another lifeline in place following claims they have agreed to take over Black Aces' top-flight status for the 2015/16 season.

The Mpumalanga outfit were just one of several clubs thought to have been approached by Usuthu, with Chippa United, Platinum Stars, Polokwane City and Bloemfontein Celtic all seemingly having rejected AmaZulu's request.
