AmaZulu file official complaint

Johannesburg - The Premier Soccer League (PSL) confirmed on Tuesday that Premiership club AmaZulu had laid a complaint against amateur outfit Tembu Royals.

AmaZulu went down 2-1 in a shock defeat to Royals in the first round of the Nedbank Cup in Umlazi last month.

"AmaZulu are contesting the eligibility of Tembu Royals player Zukisa Ginya who played against them during the Nedbank Cup last 32 fixture on February 27," the PSL said in a statement.

"In the interest of finding a speedy resolution and finality, the PSL has referred the matter directly to SAFA (SA Football Association) arbitration as per the rules of the league."

Ginya scored his side's second goal, a second-half header, in their last 32 fixture.

The Royals were set to face Maritzburg United in the last 16 stage of the knockout competition in Mthatha on Sunday.
