Cape Town - The University of Pretoria confirmed that they have signed Ethiopian striker Getaneh Kebede.
According to the club's official website, coach Sly Mosala said that Kebede will be a valuable asset to the teams progress in the upcoming season.
Kebede played for Wits last season netting two goals, before moving to AmaTuks on loan.
"He was effective in his first season at Wits but since then he did not really get a chance to play," said Mosala.
"We have at times brought in players who were not being given a chance and they proved to be valuable for us.
"He will be one of our frontline strikers, we feel he will link up quite well with the rest of the boys and add great value to the team.
"Lucky and Botshelo are still young and are still in a building or learning process so it will great for them to learn from the likes of both Bacela and Kebede;” said Coach Mosala.
The striker went on to say that he is very happy to be at the club and plans to work very hard to be in the starting line-up when the season starts.
"I’m happy to be at Tuks, they are an energetic team and I hope that I will enjoy my time here.
"I am willing to work hard to earn my place in the starting line up."
