Allie makes Wits switch

Cape Town – Nazeer Allie has made his switch to Johannesburg by signing for Bidvest Wits from Ajax Cape Town, the Students have confirmed.

The 30-year-old was a surprise departure from Ikamva (Ajax's training ground) as the veteran boasts a wealth of knowledge when it comes to defending since the Urban Warriors lack experience in their back four.

However, Gavin Hunt was not going to let the opportunity slip and made sure he has Allie on Wits’ books.

“Bidvest Wits is pleased to announce the signing of Nazeer Allie from Ajax Cape Town,” revealed the statement on the clubs official website.

“The 30 year old defender is an accomplished footballer and brings to the squad a wealth of experience.

“Welcome, to our newest Clever Boy.”
