Cape Town - Cole Alexander reveals that him departing Polokwane City for the likes of Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns or Orlando Pirates are “only rumours”.

According to KickOff, the midfielder admits that he is flattered by the speculation linking him with big clubs in the Absa Premiership.

“It's only rumours: there is nothing official. I only heard about it but it’s nothing official and as far as I know, I'm still a Polokwane City player,” Alexander said.

“But it does excite me, it makes me think that people are watching me and they are seeing what I'm doing, so it is good for a player to be noticed like that.”

However, Alexander admits that playing in Europe remains a dream and has not given up on it.

“My dream is to go to Europe and I will never give up on that dream. I know as a youngster you always want to play for Pirates and Chiefs but I'm happy at Polokwane and we will see what will happen in the new season.”

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
