Aka eager for Arrows downfall

Cape Town - Jomo Cosmos striker Brice Aka says they are looking to grab their first Absa Premiership win against Golden Arrows this weekend, but insists it is not about revenge.

Both sides were promoted from the National First Division last season and will count the fixture as a must-win game in their bids to avoid relegation from the Premiership this term.

Arrows hold the upper hand after claiming a win and a draw in the two NFD fixtures in 2014/15, but Aka insists Cosmos are not out for revenge this time around and are purely focused on achieving their first win of their top flight campaign.

"You can say it is a big game, but all the games are the same and at home we want to win, so it is not about Arrows," he told KickOff.

"They beat us away and we drew at home, but last season is last season. This is another stage; it is the PSL and you have to start with a win at home. It is not about the revenge.

"As a striker you always want to score goals and improve, but the most important thing is to focus on the team," he added.

Cosmos take on Arrows on Sunday, August 23 at Olen Park.

Kick-off is at 15:00.
