Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town coach, Roger de Sa, insists that his team will not feel the gap left by experienced defenders, Nazeer Allie and Dominic Isaacs, who recently parted ways with the Urban Warriors.
Allie, an Ajax product that has come through the club’s ranks over the years recently completed a move to Bidvest Wits while Isaacs is still looking for a club after leaving the Cape Town-based team.
However, De Sa is confident his team will be a force to be reckoned with despite the departures of the seasoned defenders.
"So far so good, the pre-season is going very well and everyone has been hard at work," De Sa told Sport24.
"As for losing some members of the squad, there are always players leaving and coming at this stage of the seasons and I do not think we will feel their absence.
"Nazier and Dominic did their part here and we can only wish them the best going forward, but we will have good replacement to fill their boots in players that are joining the club."
De Sa, who is well known for having a soft spot for young talent, said that he is assessing a number of youngsters on trial with his club and will beef-up his squad before the start of the new season.
