Ajax urge fans to lift team

Johannesburg - Public relations officer Thabiso 'Shooz' Mekuto is confident Ajax Cape Town can clinch the Absa Premiership title with the help of their loyal fans.

The Urban Warriors will secure the PSL title should they beat Maritzburg United in Cape Town in their final league fixture of the season.

Ajax are two points clear of second-placed Orlando Pirates, who need to beat Golden Arrows in their final game in order to stand a chance of overtaking the PSL leaders.

Mekuto told the official Ajax website: "We believe that a home ground advantage and the support of the people of Cape Town will give us the edge.

"We urge all local football fans come to the Cape Town Stadium on the May, 21 to welcome the Absa Premiership trophy.

"It's going to be an historic occasion for the club and the people of Cape Town, we need a win and with the support of all the people of Cape Town I know we can do it.

"We are Cape Town's premier team and we will win for the people of Cape Town."
