Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town have announced the signing of two new strikers in Prince Nxumalo and Thomas Chideu after the pair completed successful trials at the club.
“We are delighted to announce the signing of Prince Nxumalo and Thomas Chideu, following their impressive training stints with us at Ikamva,” the club’s website reported.
Nxumalo joins from SuperSport United and at 25-years-of-age he will add fresh legs as well as a decent amount of experience. He spent last season on loan at Golden Arrows and helped the club win promotion.
Chideu, on the other hand, arrives from Highlanders FC. The Zimbabwean youngster is said to have turned heads in training with coach Roger De Sa’s side, which resulted in him being offered a contract.
“We welcome both Prince and Thomas into the Ajax family,” Ari Efstathiou, Ajax Cape Town CEO, said.
“They are both great additions to our squad, I’m sure our Ajax fans will warm up to them very quickly as both players will contribute immensely to our attack force.
“I have no doubt that they will both succeed at Ajax Cape Town.”
