Johannesburg - Ajax Cape Town forward Thulani Serero will "definitely" move to Ajax Amsterdam at the end of the season, while the Dutch giants are still considering defender Clayton Daniels.
This was confirmed on Thursday by the Cape club's chief executive, George Comitis, although he said they wanted to keep the details under wraps until the season ends.
"They (Ajax Amsterdam) are definitely taking Thulani but we want to confirm the deal when the time is right," said Comitis.
"With Clayton, it's a maybe at this moment, and there is a very good chance. We will have to wait and see."
The Urban Warriors are chasing an inaugural Premiership title and club officials feel that possible player transfers would be an unnecessary distraction to the team.
Ajax, separated by log leaders Orlando Pirates only on goal difference with three games left, face AmaZulu at Athlone Stadium on Friday evening.
Daniels, 26, has prospered under outgoing coach Foppe de Haan this season, and if he is bought by the Dutch side, chances are that he will be farmed out to a lower division outfit.
The talented duo, however, are not the only Ajax players linked with moves at the end of the season, with Comitis' side garnering overseas and local interest.
There is talk of a European return for striker Thembinkosi "Terror" Fanteni while big spending Gauteng clubs are eyeing midfielder George Maluleka.
De Haan and 41-year-old former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Hans Vonk have already announced their retirements, and Comitis said the club would not let go of any other players easily.
"I can tell you now, we are not about to lose some of our players," Comitis said.
"Besides, if we sell players we need to know that we have able replacements for them."
Meanwhile, Ajax captain Brett Evans said they were expecting a tough match against a mercurial Usuthu outfit.
"AmaZulu have never made it easy for us in the past," Evans said.
"They are always tough to play against and have the ability to score goals.
"They get results at home even though they tend to struggle away, but we will be expecting a battle from them."
