Ajax to lose Billiat?

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town's CEO George Comitis has admitted that midfielder Khama Billiat could be moving to a new club.

Comitis told the SowetanLIVE website that approaches have been received from both Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates and that Ajax are considering them.

"If it happens that the player is happy with the deal and we are happy too, then we might allow the move," said Comitis.

Comitis said agents had been "talking telephone numbers" to Billiat, which left the player torn between staying where he feels comfortable or moving to richer rewards in Gauteng.

The 22-year-old Zimbabwean has represented the Cape side since 2010, scoring 21 goals in 83 appearances.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
