Ajax sign Langwe

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town signed 22-year-old Bidvest Wits’ attacking midfielder Asive Langwe on a season-long loan deal, with the option of making his stay with Ajax Cape Town permanent.

According to Ajax's website, Langwe joined Bidvest Wits in 2010 as an exciting young talent and at the tender age of 17-years-old, made his PSL debut during the 2010/11 PSL season where he contributed immensely under the guidance of then Wits coach Roger De Sa,

De Sa has been a great admirer of Langwe over the years and showed interest in bringing the player to Ikamva at the beginning of the 2014/15 PSL season.

Now, after a considerable amount of negotiation, De Sa finally landed the young dynamic attacking midfielder to strengthen an already solid Urban Warrior squad.

"Asive is a player who will add great quality to our squad," said Ajax CEO, Ari Efstathiou.

"He gives us an option on either wings and we believe he will be a great benefit in helping us with what we are trying to achieve this season."
