Ajax out to keep momentum

Cape Town - Roger de Sa will hope his Ajax Cape Town side can keep up their strong start to the PSL season when they host Free State Stars.

The Urban Warriors are placed second on the Absa Premiership log with 11 point from five matches yet they still trail Kaizer Chiefs by four points.

Ajax Cape Town kept up their unbeaten run in the league with a 1-1 draw away to Chippa United in their last outing but will look to beat their guests as they look to keep up the pace set by the Glamour Boys.

De Sa’s side has recorded two wins from their two home matches thus far this season including the impressive win as de Sa's young side put Mamelodi Sundowns to the sword courtesy of a Travis Graham strike.

Their next three league opponents are Black Aces (away), Kaizer Chiefs and Platinum Stars (both home).

Last season, the Cape side took four points off their Free State counterparts, winning 1-0 at home and drawing 1-1 away.

Stars, who are unbeaten in their last three fixtures, Ea Lla Koto hold onto seventh position on the log with seven points from five matches.

Ea Lla Koto have 11 wins compared to five for the Urban Warriors, while six matches have been drawn.

Ajax won five of their 11 home matches against Stars down the years, suffering three defeats in the process.

Kick-off is at 20:15 on Saturday, September 13.
