Ajax not intimidated by Chiefs

Cape Town - Ahead of their much anticipated clash against Kaizer Chiefs, Ajax Cape Town coach Roger De Sa said his charges will not be focusing on anything special when they face the in-form Soweto giants this weekend.

The Urban Warriors and Amakhosi will lock horns in a top of the table clash at the Cape Town Stadium on Sunday.

De Sa believes his youthful team will need to be at their best in order to upset the Phefeni Glamour Boys.

“We just want to play every game without focusing on anything special about our opponents,” De Sa told Sport24 in an exclusive interview.

“Chiefs are a good side and they are playing good football at the moment.

“We just have to be at our best if we want to get the results at the end of the day.

“Chiefs are looking best from what I see from them in the past seasons and I have never seen this fantastic performance in a long run.

“But we have no pressure on our shoulders.”

Notably, Ajax handed Chiefs their first defeat, 1-0, in the league last season at the same venue thanks to a Tashreeq Morris strike.

Kick-off is set for 15:30.
