Jaakkola has become somewhat of a talisman for the Urban Warriors this season, having featured in 17 league matches thus far. Jaakkola has previously told Football411 that he was happy with his current circumstances, a message which has now been reinforced by the management at Ajax.
"Anssi has been an integral member of our squad and one of the club’s best foreign signings," Ajax CEO Ari Efstathiou told the club’s website.
"We value his contribution to the team over the past 18 months and definitely want him to remain in Cape Town," added Efstathiou.
The shot stopper was nominated for the PSL Goalkeeper of the Season award for the 2013/14 Premiership season and narrowly lost out to Kaizer Chiefs keeper Itumeleng Khune.
