Ajax calm Dolly talks

Cape Town - Following recent reports linking Ajax Cape Town winger Keagan Dolly with a possible move to Orlando Pirates, the Urban Warriors media and communications manager, Mark Meyer, has revealed that there is nothing official regarding the young star's move.

The Buccaneers have been strongly rumoured to be chasing the signature of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) Young Player of the Year on a swap deal which is likely to include midfielders Thandani Ntshumayelo and Manti Moholo heading for the Mother City-based club.

Speaking exclusively to Sport24 on Friday, Meyer said there are no talks between the Soweto giants and Ajax regarding the possible transfer.

“There is nothing official about that,” said Meyer.

“Keagan Dolly is an Ajax Cape Town player at the moment.

“For as long as it’s not on our official website, it remains a rumour.

“Keagan is still our player,” he added.

The 21-year-old player had a tremendous season with Ajax which earned him the Young Player of the Year accolade at the PSL awards ceremony held at the Sandton Convention Centre last Sunday.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
