Ajax CT ready for Amazulu

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town are ready to make the trip to Durban as they face Amazulu in the opening round of the 2014/15 PSL season.

According to the club's website, the team completed a spirited training session in wet conditions on Tuesday morning.

On paper, the two teams are historically evenly balanced. The match, will no doubt produce 90 minutes of scintillating football. The Urban Warrior will head into Sunday’s game with last seasons losses against Amazulu fresh in their minds.

Amazulu won 2-1 in Cape Town before sealing the league "double" with 1-0 victory in Durban.

Roger de Sa is confident that his team will be focused ahead of their opening fixture of the 2014/15 PSL.

The match against Amazulu will also see the rise of yet another Ajax Cape Town youngster, Ziyaad 'Ziggy' Eksteen. The 18 year old attacking midfielder will be hoping to make his debut on the big stage.

His pre-season contribution helped him gain the coach’s confidence and he could make the travelling squad.

At 15:00 on Sunday, 10 August, Amazulu host Ajax Cape Town as both sides look to gain early season momentum.

Ajax ended in 12th place on the log last season, seven points above the relegation zone.
