Johannesburg - SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt has slamed agents, stating they are killing football in the country.
The Matsatsantsa mentor witnessed his side crash out of the MTN8 during a penalty shoot-out against AmaZulu and he was left to lament the loss of two key players.
Elias Pelembe and Lerato Chabangu were sold to Mamelodi Sundowns, in a move that not only shocked the two-time PSL winning tactician, but also angered him.
Hunt revealed that agents played a big part in the pair's departure.
He said: "There is nothing we can do football is controlled by these so called agents.
"I couldn't believe when I was told that Pelembe and Chabangu are leaving for Sundowns.
"The worst part is we were on our way to the game against AmaZulu and they were part of my squad.
"I was shocked when we were about to board a plane on Monday and I was told that they are going to Sundowns.
"But there is nothing we can do life must go on."
The coach went on to thank Pelembe for his massive contribution to the club.
"We lost a very good talented player and I honestly believe that he is the best player in PSL I rate him highly. I wish him all the best, he did a very good job for us, I hope he will do the same at Sundowns," concluded Hunt.
