The South Africa international joined the Buccaneers from SuperSport United in 2010, but will see his current contract in Soweto expire in June.
The fact the winger is yet to be offered a new deal at Pirates has led to reports he could return to Matsatsantsa, while Bidvest Wits have also been tipped with an interest in the 29-year-old.
However, Klate's agent Tim Sukazi is not convinced his client will leave the Orlando Stadium, telling KickOff: "Klate has enjoyed a great stay at Pirates, and everybody loves him at Pirates. I don't see him leaving the club."
Klate and the rest of his Pirates team-mates are set to resume training shortly, with the Premiership season resuming after the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, which reaches its climax on February 8.
