Cape Town - Orlando Pirates' clean bill of health has been threatened by new injury concerns as five players are set to be sidelined.

According to the clubs website following weeks of rehabilitation and strength training, defenders Siyabonga Sangweni and Thabo Matlaba reported back to full training towards the end of last week.
The other good news to come out of the medical department is that of striker Lehlohonolo Majoro who has also been passed fit after recovering from an ankle injury while on camp with the national team.
The return of Sangweni, Majoro and Matlaba will be welcomed by the technical team however, according to the medical team, the likes of Thabo Qalinge and Lucky Lekgwathi are still receiving treatment for their respective injuries.
Maselaelo Seanego:
Seanego is out with a broken bone in his foot. He will be out for 6 weeks.
Thabo Qalinge:
Thabo got injured in training after a heavy challenge in a practice match. He has some swelling around his knee and will be monitored this week to determine the next course of action.
Gladwin Shitolo:
Played in a practice match in the rain last week and when moving for the ball he slid in the mud and pulled his adductor muscle in his leg - still tender at the moment. He will be monitored this week.
Lucky Lekgwathi:
Lucky is seeing an ankle specialist sometime this week to assess the aggravated injury.
Helder Pelembe:
Suffering from an osteitis pubis injury in his hip - the inflammation causes varying degrees of lower abdominal and pelvic pain. There is no telling how long he will be out for, the injury recovery is similar to that of the groin injury, where you just wait until the pain subsides.
