16 points needed for PSL survival, says Highlands Park director

Cape Town - Highlands Park director Sinky Mnisi believes the club will only need 16 points from their remaining 12 games to ensure PSL survival.

The Lions of the North have only won two of their 18 matches played while eight of those games ended in defeat. Gordon Igesund’s side is joint second for the most draws (eight) in the league.

According to KickOff, Mnisi says that he firmly believes that Highlands are willing to fight it out as the relegation battle heats up.

"We are not worried, not at all," Mnisi tells says.

"I'm not worried about any other team or whatever Baroka is doing. We just got to win our games, starting with the SuperSport game on Saturday. We are going out there to fight.

"There's still 12 games to play and 36 points to play for. We only need 16 points actually but we won't mind if we get 17."

Igesund’s charges next face SuperSport United in an Absa Premiership clash on Saturday, February 25 at the Makhulong Stadium.

Kick off is at 20:15.
