Johannesburg - Moroka Swallows striker Siyabonga Nomvethe is confident his side can overcome Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates in the MTN8 final.
Rainer Zobel's charges booked a spot in the decider of the R8m showpiece with a 3-2 victory over Ajax on Saturday.
The Dube Birds now face the Buccaneers - who 'Bhele' played for in 2006 - at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday after Ruud Krol's men edged out Kaizer Chiefs.
He told Football365.co.za: "I am very happy with the game we played at the weekend.
"The important thing was to reach the final and we managed to do that, so now we need to focus on beating Orlando Pirates."
A brace from Nomvethe gave Swallows a 2-0 lead before they made hard work of the tie as some sloppy defending saw Ajax level things up at 2-2.
However, substitute Sicelo Zuma scored a late winner to eliminate the Urban Warriors, but Nomvethe admitted that he feared they would lose the game after giving up their two-goal advantage.
He continued: "At the end, I thought we were going to lose the game, but we managed to score at the end for the win.
"I was pleased with my performance, but I have to continue working hard.
"It will be a big challenge for us taking on a big team like Pirates, we need to focus on beating them and anything can happen in football.
"We are ready to challenge them and if we continue playing like we did against Ajax and keep the same spirit we had we are going to manage to score goals against Orlando Pirates."
