Neeskens: We deserved win

Johannesburg - Johan Neeskens was delighted to see Mamelodi Sundowns put their PSL concerns behind them to book their place in the Telkom Knockout final on Saturday evening.

The Brazilians, who sit rock bottom of the league standings, were able to see off SuperSport United in the Ziwa Mo last-four as Eleazar Rodgers' strike proved the difference in Polokwane.

"I think we saw an exciting game with two teams that are very competitive," Neeskens said.

"It is not normal to be where we are in the league. In a lot of games we didn't play badly, but we were unlucky by making silly mistakes.

"Overall, I must give my team a big compliment because I thought they deserved the win."
