Muamba in 'stable' condition

London -  Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba was in a stable condition on Saturday following his collapse against Tottenham, Sky Sports News television reported citing hospital sources.

Muamba was reportedly unconscious when stretchered from the field at White Hart Lane shortly before the FA Cup quarter-final clash was abandoned.

Sky later cited an unidentified source at the London Chest Hospital as saying that Muamba was in a stable condition.

The hospital was not immediately available to comment on the report when contacted by AFP.
