Johannesburg - A metro police officer did not follow procedure when attending to an accident involving soccer star Bryce Moon, the Randburg Magistrate's Court heard on Wednesday.
Moon allegedly hit and killed Mavis Ncube while driving at a high speed in Sandhurst on July 29, 2009.
Defence lawyer Naren Sangham asked officer Mphumzi Tom why he asked Greg Turner to take photographs of the accident scene a week after it happened.
Turner was Ncube's employer. She worked as a housekeeper at his guest house.
"You have a collision unit within the metro police which is fully equipped to take pictures and draw sketches of the scene... did you call them to the scene?" asked Sangham.
Tom said he had not.
"So you would agree with me when I say you did not follow proper procedure?"
Tom agreed.
He said he was with Turner when they took photographs showing where the accident happened. Tom said Turner had volunteered to give him photographs he had taken minutes after the accident.
