Johannesburg - Interim coach Trott Moloto has graciously accepted SAFA's decision to stage Saturday night's Nedbank Cup semi-final between AmaZulu and Mamelodi Sundowns at Durban's King's Park Stadium.
The correct protocol would be to utilise a neutral venue for mayor cup ties such as this one with Moloto quick to point out which venue that might be.
He said: "We'll accept the decision without putting up a fight in the interests of South African soccer at this critical time on the eve of the World Cup.
"We would have preferred playing at Orlando Stadium after SAFA took over the World Cup's Bombela Stadium in Nelspruit at the last minute for Bafana's game against Thailand this week-end. That would have been a fairer arrangement because we are a Pretoria club and AmaZulu are based in Durban. But the PSL thought otherwise.
"Still we are not going to cry over the decision. We've just beaten Orlando Pirates in Durban and we'll go out there and do our best."
Moloto added that he was happy a 'second-string' side had advanced so far in the competition, with a number of players in training with Bafana.
"I must complement the players who have performed impressively in the Nedbank Cup thus far - and in whom I have every confidence to continue with the good work."
Moloto will however, have to make due without Mozambican midfielder Elias Pelembe, who is suspended while defender Robyn Johannes is sidelined as he nurses an injury.
