Millwall enter race for Shabba

2011-01-21 09:12

Johannesburg - Skysports.com understands Nottingham Forest and Millwall are battling it out for South Africa ace Siphiwe Tshabalala.

The winger, who scored the opening goal of Soccer World Cup finals, has been invited over on trial by both clubs.

The 26-year-old currently plies his trade in his homeland with Kaizer Chiefs, but is thought to be keen on a move to England.

A number of clubs are interested in signing the midfielder and Tshabalala is expected to stay in the country until the end of the month to see what offers come his way.

The Bafana Bafana star is training with Nottingham Forest this week so that Billy Davis can cast an eye over him and Millwall are thought to have invited him for a similar stint next week.

If Tshabalala impresses during his time at the two clubs they could step up their interest in the winger before the close of the transfer window.

Millwall fans are like the scum of english supporters and they are racist... Shabba should go to Forest and work his was up from there... But i can't believe that after the world cup premiership sides were interested in him and chiefs are settling for championship sides who will struggle to get into the premiership...

if these clubs really wanted him, they would just sign him and there would be no need for 'trials' for goodness sake. anyway, either would be way better than playing in the pathetic psl where the pitches are not even fit enough for cows to graze, where fans throw cabbages and bread onto the field and act like clowns, where the atmosphere at most games is terrible as most stadiums are always empty. those matches at those unknown, small, badly designed stadia are an eye-sore to watch. the psl promised to emulate world cup standards-what a joke. atleast ul get big bucks shabba.

      tendanic - 2011-01-21 13:48

Your mind is very badly constructed, you clearly have never been in a south african stadium.....and play stay the hell away. I think you need to comment on some farming forum about farmers wanting compensation for the floods, that would be better than the bollocks you just said above
