Messi fires Argentina into SWC

Asuncion - Argentina qualified for the 2014 World Cup here on Tuesday after thrashing Paraguay 5-2.

Captain Lionel Messi scored twice, with Sergio Aguero, Angel Di Maria and Maxi Rodriguez also getting on the scoresheet for the two-time world champions.

The win saw Argentina secure their place from the South American qualifying tournament with two matches remaining.
