'Masilela to sign for Leicester'

Johannesburg - South African defender Tsepo Masilela is expected to sign for Championship outfit Leicester City, according to a British tabloid.

The News of the World is reporting that a deal is imminent and quote a close source, who insists the highly-rated Maccabi Tel Aviv left-back will be plying his trade in England next season.

The 26-year-old was linked with Birmingham City after an impressive 2010 Soccer World Cup but a move failed to materialise, although if this report is true he will line up opposite the Blues in league action next term.

"Everything has been agreed in principle for him to go to Leicester," a source is quoted as saying.

"I would guess that everything will be signed off next week. It's a season-long loan at first but they have the option to purchase if things go well."
