Rome - Former Argentina World Cup-winning captain Diego Maradona still owes the Italian taxman 37 million euros, Neapolitan officials revealed on Saturday.
Maradona, currently the coach of the Argentine national team, played for Napoli for seven years in the 1980s and 1990s.
According to tax website Contribuenti.it, Maradona has still only paid 42 000 euros of what he owes, as well as handing over two luxury watches.
Around 23.5 million euros of his debt is accounted for by interest on his original tax debt.
