Johannesburg - Swedish outfit Helsingborgs IF have slapped a price tag of around €2.5 million (R25 million) on the head of their South African midfielder, May Mahlangu.
The 23-year-old has been making head-waves in Sweden over the past two years and has subsequently attracted interest from England, Germany and Spain.
Mahlangu’s performances last year were pivotal in “Di Roe’s” championship winning campaign and he won several personal accolades as well as a call-up to the Bafana Bafana line-up.
With only two days to go before the current transfer window slams shut, it remains to be seen whether the Secunda-born playmaker, a product of Farouk Khan’s Stars of Africa academy, will land a deal away from his current club.
