Lekgwathi: TKO trophy is ours

Johannesburg - Lucky Lekgwathi is adamant the Telkom Knockout trophy is coming to Parktown following Orlando Pirates' 3-1 semi-final success over Golden Arrows at the weekend.

The Sea Robbers, treble winners last term, will face Bidvest Wits in the final of the Ziwa Mo showpiece on 10 December.

And Lekgwathi is determined to grasp the one piece of silverware that eluded Pirates in the previous campaign.

"We did very well and it was a well deserved victory, this is the only title we did not win last season but it's coming to Parktown this season," Lekgwathi told the Sowetan.

The Pirates captain hopes his team can transfer their cup form into the league as they currently sit in eighth spot on the PSL table.

"We have been a bit inconsistent in the league, which is not good at all. I still maintain we have a good chance of winning the league again, but we need to be consistent," he added.
