Matsatsantsa also have an edge over Stars historically, having won 12 times in the 26 games they have played to date, while the North West team have won seven. United also beat Stars 3-1 in a league match earlier this season.
Current form would suggest that SuperSport are favourites to win in Soweto, having found good form in the league under Igesund, while their route to the final was more impressive than Dikwena, who scored only two goals, one of those an own goal.
Stars meanwhile are chasing a third TKO Final win, having also won the competition in 2006 and 2013.
SuperSport United will be looking for a first ever Telkom Knockout trophy, having never won the competition in any of its previous guises. Coach Gordon Igesund will also be hoping for his first trophy success since returning to club football after his stint as the Bafana Bafana coach.
Welcome to our live coverage of the 2014 Telkom Knockout final between Platinum Stars and SuperSport United!
