The 10 ugliest football kits in history!

Cape Town - For many nostalgic football fans, beyond the old highlights and haircuts, are their fond memories of former kits.

But throughout the years, many clubs have been haunted by questionable fashion decisions.

From shocking geometric designs to revolting colours, football fans have seen it all.

We've created a list of infamy for the clubs that got their strips all wrong:

COLORADO CARIBOUS (1978)

There's a reason tassles and football kit's don’t go together, which might explain why this short lived team lost 22 out of their 30 games.

HUDDERSFIELD TOWN (1991)

One of the very few examples combining football kit design and tie dye. Huddersfield and hippies coming together.

FIORENTINA (1992)

It's not often a kit causes actual controversy, but the 'accidental' swastikas incorporated into the design didn't go down all that well with anyone. Unsurprisingly.

AUSTRALIA (1990)

Australia's famous green and gold battle for supremacy on this 1990 shirt but the real winner is bad taste.

HULL CITY (1992)

Hull City may be nicknamed the Tigers but this kit might be taking that a little bit too literally.

NORWICH CITY (1992)

A kit fondly remembered by Norwich fans as the infamous 'bird poo kit'.

MEXICO GOALKEEPER KIT (1994)

Goalkeeper kits have a history of being horrid, but this one was actually designed by the man who wore it. Note to self: Never let Jorge Campos decorate your house.

CHELSEA (1995)

You've got to hand it to Chelsea, you don't see many grey and orange football kits.

ESTONIA GOALKEEPER KIT (1996)

This bizarre Aztec-inspired number was worn in the infamous Estonia v Scotland game that was abandoned after just three seconds in 1996.

ENGLAND GOALKEEPER KIT (1996)

Another entry into the 90s goalkeeping hall of horrors. This melted ice lolly look was perfectly twinned with David Seaman's moustache.
