Rohr wants Chelsea youngster to represent Nigeria

Cape Town - Nigeria boss Gernot Rohr is eager to see Chelsea youngster Ola Aina switch international allegiance to the Super Eagles.

The 20-year-old was born in London and has represented England at youth level, but he is now considering ditching the Three Lions to represent Nigeria.

Aina was in the crowd for Thursday's 1-1 draw with Senegal, and Rohr admitted after the match that he wants to see Aina commit himself to the African nation.

"It is normal to have this situation, when we have very good player who can pick two teams," Rohr told Goal. "We always leave the door open to young talent."

Aina came through the youth ranks at Stamford Bridge but has yet to make a mark on the first team.
