Cape Town - Former Manchester United right-back Gary Neville has been appointed as the manager of Valencia.
According to SkySports, the retired footballer has taken up the responsibilities in a five month contract.
Neville has won 20 trophies as a player and since hanging up his boots has become a commentator, England's assistant coach and a football analyst for SkySports.
Reports suggest that his Valencia managerial post won't intervene with his job at England and he will remain on as Roy Hodgson's assistant.
It is yet to be confirmed whether Neville's brother, Phil, who left his job as a pundit for Spain will be part of his technical staff when the official announcement is made on Thursday, December 2.
The younger Neville has been at the Mestalla since June 2015.
Valencia's owner Peter Lim is also a co-owner of Salford City along with the Nevilles and former Man United greats Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt.
