Martial leaves Wembley on crutches

London - France striker Anthony Martial left Wembley Stadium on crutches after their friendly against England, in a potential blow to Manchester United ahead of the resumption of the English Premier League.

Martial's left ankle was bandaged as he hobbled past reporters in the mixed zone after France's 2-0 loss on Tuesday.

He was substituted in the 67th minute of the game.

The 19-year-old Martial is one of the few strikers in United's squad and has made an impressive start to his career at Old Trafford after his move from Monaco for an initial fee of £38m.

United's next game is against Watford in the Premier League on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 14:45.
