Lyon willing to sell Lacazette

Cape Town - Jean-Michel Aulas says Lyon would be willing to allow Alexandre Lacazette to leave the club, as the player admits to be keen be on a move away from France.

The 25-year-old forward recently signed a new four-year deal with the Ligue 1 side, who insist they won't stand in his way of switch to "a great club".

Lacazette has been linked with a move to Barcelona at the end of the season while Lyon reportedly rejected a £30m bid for the player from Arsenal and a £42.7m offer from West Ham United in January.

Speaking to OL TV, Aulas said: "If one day there is an opportunity, of course, as we did with Sam [Umtiti] and Abi [Eric Abidal] in Barcelona or Karim [Benzema] in Madrid or further in time with Ludo [Giuly] to Monaco, who left, why not?"

"Alex has wanted to play in a great club and Lyon does not object. We are perfectly in line."

Lacazette is rumoured to be valued at £40m, who also in January told the Daily Telegraph he could be interested in a "very attractive" move to the Premier League.

He more recently told Canal : "I think it's come, the right moment.

"I think that this summer will be the time where I will need a change of scenery and discover something else, still with the idea of advancing and progressing in terms of football and as a person.

"I am going to continue to work, in the hope that good opportunities will come this summer."

Lacazette scored 21 goals in Ligue 1 last season, and has already netted 18 in 17 league matches this term.
