Lukaku became Belgium's all-time record goalscorer with the only goal
of the game as his side beat Japan 1-0 in Brugge on Tuesday night.
The Manchester United striker netted his 31st goal for Belgium with a header from Nacer Chadli's cross in the 72nd minute.
A brace against Mexico last week had seen Lukaku draw level with Bernard Voorhoof and Paul van Himst on 30 goals.
The record-breaking goal came in just his 64th appearance for his country and aged just 24, there is plenty of time for him to score many more goals.
