10' Coutinho fouls Santos and Villarreal have a free-kick in a dangerous position.
A quick take by the Yellow Submarine and the ball falls into the path of Soldado and the striker makes no mistake to get a strike at goal. However, the former Tottenham striker could not get his shot on target.
FULL TIME! What an end to the match! Villarreal snatch a remarkable late victory to take to Anfield! Liverpool played well but were unable to snag an away goal. Advantage Yellow Submarines!

We're into three additional minutes of added time.
Liverpool make a late change, and it's not Daniel Sturridge. Roberto Firmino is replaced by Christian Benteke.
Moreno blazes over! The fullback goes on a marauding run, exploiting some poor defending but the angle asked a lot of the defender.
Brilliant save by Mignolet! Chance of the game from Bakambu! The striker was fed through the gap between the two center backs before trying a side-footed finesed shot passed Mignolet but the 'keeper is equal to it! Corner for the home team.
Ibe makes a run down the left and delivers a deep ball into the box which Clyne stretches to head but his effort goes backwards and out for a goal kick.
Allen's foul has presented the home side with a possible crossing opportunity from fairly central inside the Liverpool half.
An just four minutes after their first, Villarreal have made their final change. Mateo Musacchio comes on to replace the injured Bailly.
Eric Baily is down receiving treatment. The Ivorion pulled up while collecting a ball that went out for a goal kick. It looks like his night is going to end early.
Villarreal make another change. Roberto Soldado makes way for Adrian Lopez.
The home side make their first substitution of the night. Csstillejo comes on for dos Santos.
There's a spat ongoing on the touchline between the two coaches over a challenge made by Lucas. Eventually the pair hug and make up, quite humorously.
Firmino strikes the post this time! He's thumped it against the up right. He took one touch to control Milner's through ball into the area and another touch to strike. So close for the away side. Costa is still receiving treatment on the sideline for his bloodied lip.
Costa has taken a blow to the face after an accidental collision with Lovren. He's currently down receiving treatment.
We have our first booking of the evening. Jaume Costa goes into referee's book for a very late sliding challenge on Clyne.
Gaspar blazes over from a narrow angle! Soldado laid the ball off to the full back after Liverpool managed to deny the front men a shot at goal.
Villarreal are pressing Liverpool in the midfield, giving the Reds little room to move. Milner manages to get a shot in from outside the area but Ruiz's block earns his side a corner, which the captain takes short.
Villarreal's good start to the second half continues as they win another corner, on their left flank this time. It's taken short before the move fizzles out.
Bakambu off the post! Villarreal win a corner in the first move of the half. Dos Santos crosses and Bakambu jumps ahead of his marker at the near post back toward goal and sees his efforts strike the upright! Inches from the opening goal.
SECOND HALF! We're back underway for the second half. There's been a half time substitution from Jurgen Klopp. Jordon Ibe is on to replace Phillippe Coutinho, and you would think that's due to an injury.
HALF TIME! Both sides have got themselves into decent positions in the first period but failed to capitalise. Both managers will be pretty happy with the way things are going for their side. Stay tuned for the second half of this open, attacking affair.
Liverpool win a corner right on the cusp of half time which Milner hurries to take. Lucas manages to win the header but his looping effort is easily plucked out the air by Asenjo.
We're into one additional minute at the end of the half.
Referee Damir Skomina of Slovenia is having an excellent game, keeping his cards in his pockets when perhaps others wouldn't and allowing play to flow as much as possible.
Soldado! Just wide! Mignolet didn't move! The striker did very well to get his shot from outside the area away with two Liverpool defenders in close proximity, but there's no curl on the effort which stays wide.
We're just under five minutes away from half time. Coutinho has another effort from outside the area following a lay off by Lallana. The hurried strike once again goes wide.
First Toure and then Moreno put their bodies on the line to block Bruno Soriano's angled shots. The home side got in behind the Red's backline quit easily there, but didn't trouble Mignolet.
Coutinho works the room to have a shot from outside the area but the connection is very poor by his standards, the ball sails high and wide.
Jonathan dos Santos is down in pain following an aerial collision with Moreno. He's currently receiving treatment and seems to be in a lot of agony.
Milner whips in a dangerous delivery from deep toward the far post, Asenjo just manages to get there ahead of the oncoming Firmino. Both sides are showing attacking promise here.
STAT: Villarreal have won more games than any other side in the competition's history.
Tomas Pena forces a save out of Mignolet! Villarreal worked the ball around the Liverpool box very nicely before the ball eventually fell to the midfielder. Mignolet did well to dive low to his left.
Moreno breaks into the box down Liverpool's left before cutting it back for Coutinho, who has a strike. The Brazilian's effort is blocked at close range and the danger is cleared.
Liverpool win their first corner of the evening, it's taken short to Milner before being played around the home side's area. A ball in is half cleared and falls for Lucas, who strikes from far, blazing an effort over Asenjo's goal.
Villarreal win another corner, this time from the opposite side. It's lofted in deep and misses two Liverpool heads but there are no Villarreal players to meet it, before eventually being cleared.
Soldado is a whisker away from putting the home side ahead! Villarreal take a quick free kick, dinking the ball over the Liverpool defence for the former-Spurs man to strike across goal. Luckily for Mignolet, the effort fizzed past his far post. Soldado is furious that he's not been awarded a corner.
Villarreal win the first corner of the game on their left. Suarez takes but it's cleared by Lallana at the near post.
Allen shoots! Straight down Asenjo's throat! A real opportunity for Liverpool early on as the Welsh midfielder manages to run on to a cross from Liverpool's right but his low side-footed effort goes straight to the 'keeper.
Denis Suarez goes on a decent run down Villarreal's left before swinging in a cross aimed at Bakambu. There's a bit too much on the cross and Mignolet collects comfortably.
Jurgen Klopp has never won in Spain in his managerial career.
KICK OFF! Villarreal in all yellow get things underway. Liverpool in their traditional all-red strip.
A sea of yellow awaits Liverpool, a sight they'll be used to following their quarter-final tie against Borussia Dortmund, which the Reds won 5-3 on aggregate.
We're moments away from kick off as the teams line up in the tunnel. Villarreal get their nickname of the Yellow Submarines from the city of Liverpool's most famous sons: The Beatles.
