FULL-TIME: MANCHESTER UNITED 3-2 SOUTHAMPTON. Manchester United win their first trophy under Jose Mourinho! Ibrahimovic scored two goals, the first one from a free-kick and then the second one in the final minutes of the game. Lingard scored second and then Gabbiadini scored one goal on either side of the half-time break to give the Saints a chance. Manchester United win the EFL Cup Final!
Southampton have played well today but United have managed to score an extra goal to take the lead in the final few minutes. The Saints are throwing everything they have at United now.
Marouane Fellaini comes on for Anthony Martial for United while Jay Rodriguez replaces Steven Davis for Southampton. There will be four added minutes to this half.
GOAL, MANCHESTER UNITED, IBRAHIMOVIC! 3-2: Ibrahimovic does it again! Martial plays a brilliant pass to Herrera who in turn drives it to Ibrahimovic. Ibrahimovic slots it into the back of the net and this is a crucial goal for United who looked rattled after the goals from the Saints.
Southampton causing United all sorts of problems as Rashford fails to track Bertrand's run and his fizzing drive flashes across the face of goal.
Gabbiadini leaves the field after scoring two goals for the Saints, he is replaced with Shane Long.
Redmond misplaces an inadvertent wall pass with Bailly, moves infield and drives a low shot from 20 yards that nicks off Carrick and goes wide. The corner is cleared.
United are having a good spell of play, they are dominating the possession. This is probably their best period of play in the second half.
Sofiane Boufal replaces Dusan Tadic, and Marcus Rashford is on for Jesse Lingard. Changes to both sides.
Pogba wins a free-kick off Tadic 30 yards away from the Saints goal. Ibrahimovic drives the ball straight into the wall and is not able to repeat his first goal heroics.
United get a free-kick on the right wing. Herrera plays a disguised cutback to Carrick in space on the edge of the area. Southampton are under pressure but they manage to clear the ball.
Martial puts in a great run and slides a pass through to Lingard. Lingard then tries to get the better of Forster but Yoshida kicks the ball away for a corner.
Romeu takes the ball forward and tries to push it towards the far post but Ibrahimovic hacks it clear.
Carrick is penalised for bundling Ward-Prowse to the ground in the United half and Southampton will look to take this and drive it into the area.
Saints are on the attack again and they win a corner. Ward-Prowse takes the corner and Romeu rises high to meet it above Pogba but hits it straight into the crossbar! De Gea was stranded in his goal.
Herrera is down holding his face and he looks like he has been struck by Romeu's elbow. Referee Marriner ignores and does not give a card. Romeu is already on a yellow card.
Pogba has had a very average game today and Martial gets a half chance for United but they are not able to make anything out of it.
Ibrahimovic takes the ball into the Saints half and tries to pass the ball toward Martial but decides against it. Three Saints defenders crowd him out and win the ball.
YELLOW! Redmond is booked for a late challenge on Carrick in the midfield.
United look rattled now after conceding a goal on either side of the break. They need to regroup and play better if they want to win this from here.
It was a brilliant goal from Gabbiadini and Lingard should consider himself lucky to not get a yellow card for a foul on Redmond.
GOAL, SOUTHAMPTON, GABBIADINI! 2-2: Gabbiadini has equalised for the Saints. United fail to clear the corner and it is headed back from the edge of the box to Gabbiadini who slots it into the United goal past De Gea. Southampton score just after the break to level the score.

Second half begins.
HALF-TIME: MANCHESTER UNITED 2-1 SOUTHAMPTON. Gabbiadini was disallowed a goal because of a poor offside decision and United managed to capitalize on that by scoring twice, first through Ibrahimovic's free-kick and then through Lingard's goal. Gabbiadini scored his first goal of the game in extra time as Southampton pulled one back. The score is 2-1 after the first half.
GOAL, SOUTHAMPTON, GABBIADINI! 2-1: Redmond plays the ball back to Ward-Prowse who plays a brilliant pass towards Gabbiadini. Gabbiadini goes between a cople of defenders and slots the ball perfectly into De Gea's net. Southampton pull one back just before the break.
Two minutes of added time to this half.
Tadic runs at Bailly in the box but is then forced to use it right foot, and the shot is driven wide.
YELLOW! Stephens is booked for a bad tackle on Martial. Poor challenge from the Saints man and United players appeal for a red card but only a yellow card is shown.
GOAL, MANCHESTER UNITED, LINGARD! 2-0: Rojo combined nicely with Mata and Martial on the left wing before driving the ball to Lingard. Lingard kicks the ball perfectly through Yoshida's legs and past Forster into the Saints goal. United lead by two goals, Jesse Lingard gets his third goal in as many games at Wembley.
Ward-Prowse with the corner for the Saints and it is a nice kick into the area but Yoshida and Stephens fail to turn the ball into goal and United scramble to clear the ball.
A brilliantly angled pass from Redmond finds Tadic and he runs away from Pogba to shoot but De Gea has it covered and makes the save with his legs.
Ward-Prowse and Gabbiadini link up again, and this time the ball goes to Gabbiadini who has a lot of space on the right wing. He takes the ball into the United area but defenders crowd him out and the move falls apart.
Gabbiadini cuts the ball back to Ward-Prowse, whose strong low drive is well saved down to his right by De Gea.
Lingard takes the ball into the Southampton half and tries to pass it to Ibrahimovic but the Saints defence reads it perfectly and clears.
This will test the Saints who should have been ahead but the goal was disallowed because of a poor offside call. United have since taken the lead.
Replays show that Forster should have done better to stop the ball. The Swede gives United the lead in the final.
GOAL, MANCHESTER UNITED, IBRAHIMOVIC! 1-0: Ibrahimovic curls the free-kick in and it is out of Forster's reach. United take the lead after Romeu's unnecessary challenge.
YELLOW CARD! First booking of the game as Oriol Romeu picks up a yellow card for clashing with Herrera on the edge of the Saints area. This is a dangerous position to concede a kick.
Redmond drifts in off the left flank on to his right foot but he drags a poor effort well wide. Southampton are attacking now, after sitting back in their half for the first few minutes of the game.
Replays show that Gabbiadini was onside and the linesman made the wrong call.
Southampton have the ball and they attack, Cedric's low cross finds Gabbiadini. Gabbiadini is caught offside and the flag goes up, the goal will be disallowed.
Redmond’s long-range shot deflects off Herrera for a corner. One corner results into another.
Lingard gathers possession deep in Southampton territory before laying it off to Ibrahimovic, but the referee penalises him for a handball.
Good start from both sides, they are settling into the game nicely. The Saints have dropped deep and are happy to give some possession away but United are patiently building it up.
Southampton have made a fast start. Tadic pushes the ball into the box, it misses a couple of players and Smalling does well to avoid an own goal.
Lingard tries to push forward with an early attack and he takes it into the Saints half but Cedric is quick to win the ball back before Lingard can find Ibrahimovic.
Kick-off! First half begins. The Saints kick-off the final.
Martin Caceres and Sofiane Boufal are on the bench for the Saints.
Carrick and Rooney are on the bench.
United make six changes from the side that won in St Etienne. De Gea, Valencia, Rojo, Herrera, Lingard and Martial come in to the side. Romero, Young, Carrick, Fellaini, Blind are out and Mkhitaryan will not play because he is injured.
Sofiane Boufal returns from injury to earn a place on the bench.
Southampton are unchanged from their 4-0 win at Sunderland.
